Half marathon pace strategy with Garmin + Strava data

Build a smarter half marathon plan using threshold pace, heart-rate drift, and weekly load signals from Garmin and Strava.

Most half marathon pacing mistakes happen before race day. Athletes either train too fast too often or never touch race-specific intensity long enough.

Start with threshold pace as your anchor. If Garmin recovery is stable and Strava load is trending progressively, insert one controlled threshold block and one race-pace session each week.

Monitor heart-rate drift on longer aerobic runs. Rising drift at the same pace often signals fatigue or poor fueling, so adjust load before performance drops.

CoachUpFit combines these metrics into weekly coaching decisions so your race pace is realistic, repeatable, and ready under pressure.
